IEF Connect Conference

Connect Conference and update from Israel

IEF Annual Connect Conference

Our next IEF Connect Conference will be held on Saturday 4th October 2025. This year we will gather in person at Duncan Street Baptist Church with the option to join on Zoom.

This year, John Sode-Woodhead will be coming over from Israel and will share about life in Israel and the work of IEF. We will also be joined via live link to Israel with Betty Tegegn CEO of Push for Fulfilment, a charity meeting the needs of Ethiopians in Israel and blessing the needy in Ethiopia.

John was brought up in Israel by his English Father and Danish Mother in the Arab community of Nazareth. He did all his education in Hebrew and therefore speaks four languages like a native. He is an Israeli citizen with a real heart for bringing the gospel to both Jews and Arabs. His unbiased approach to the politics of Israel has made him an excellent source of information for international organisations including BBC’s Radio 4.  John’s congregation in Haifa brings together believers that are both Arabs and Jews who worship the Lord Jesus Christ together and reach out to both communities. John’s knowledge of the Land is unparalleled and his background as an archaeologist provides additional insights into the Land of the Bible. He is CEO of the Israel Education Forum and has recently been nominated to be Chair for the Jerusalem Centre for Bible Translation (JCBT) where he is currently appointed as the strategic development director.

The Push for Fulfillment nonprofit works to help Ethiopians living in Israel holistically–by providing legal, humanitarian and educational aid. Our target is to bring generational blessing to Ethiopians living in Israel, by removing obstacles (such as legal and financial problems) and also empowering them by giving them the tools to overcoming challenges by their own (by financial consulting, finding the proper jobs and teaching them their basic rights).
